Nano-Care® roof tile impregnation enables sealing by means of a transparent protective layer that adheres to the roof tiles in the form of a covalent bond and thus creates a liquid-repellent surface with tiny silicon dioxide structures, which reduces the adhesion of unwanted deposits and liquids of any kind.

Cleaning with a high-pressure cleaner is still possible, as the impregnation can withstand a water pressure of 50 – 60 bar without any problems.

Instructions for applying our impregnation / waterproofing / proofing for roof tiles

The application of Nano-Care® impregnation / nano-waterproofing / proofing for roof tiles is uncomplicated, even if you apply it yourself, taking into account the following 4 steps. Thorough preparation and careful application of the impregnation are crucial for optimum results.

Step 1 - Material preparation

The first step before cleaning and impregnation is to thoroughly check the material to be sealed for any damage or its general condition. If there are loose, damaged or badly affected roof tiles in the tile structure, these should be replaced before proceeding to the next steps to ensure optimum results.

Step 2 – Thorough cleaning

As soon as the tiles to be sealed show no overall defects, they should be cleaned thoroughly and, if necessary, several times, for example with a high-pressure cleaner. Make sure to remove all dirt, especially moss and other deposits, before applying the sealant so that the sealant can achieve the greatest possible and even effect. It is also important to allow the cleaned surface to dry completely before applying the impregnation / waterproofing / proofing.

Step 3 – Applying the impregnation / waterproofing / proofing

In order for the Nano-Care® impregnation / nano-waterproofing to develop its full potential, spray the solution evenly and completely covering the surface to be sealed. If necessary, repeat this process before the first layer has completely dried to ensure complete protection. After coating, the material needs at least 24 hours to dry completely and cure. During this time, the material should not be exposed to moisture if possible.

Step 4 – Regular care and refreshing as required

For a long-lasting satisfactory result, we recommend checking the sealant at regular intervals and refreshing the impregnation if necessary.
