Our product

Nano-Care® offers an innovative solution for the nano-impregnation / waterproofing / proofing of all types of upholstery and leather furniture. Our special nano-coating covers every single fiber of the material so that liquids roll off and dirt cannot adhere to the textile surface, regardless of the type of textile furniture or seating.

This technology, which is suitable for all absorbent fabrics, ensures that your upholstery looks like new for longer. The invisible layer provides comprehensive protection against external influences while maintaining the breathability of the fabric.

The advantages in detail: Why impregnation / waterproofing / proofing of sofas is indispensable

In addition to the protective effect of our impregnation solutions for sofas and other textile furniture, you also benefit from other useful advantages, which we would like to explain to you in detail below.

Intensive stain protection

Probably the most important property: our impregnation / waterproofing / proofing penetrates deep into the fibers and forms a barrier against liquids and deposits. Even stubborn stains such as red wine or coffee are much easier to remove and leave less residue.

Longevity and value stability

Protection against wear and soiling considerably extends the life of textile furniture. A well-maintained sofa retains its value for longer and also has better resale opportunities.

Simplified care and cleaning

Compared to non-impregnated surfaces, stains can be easily removed with a damp cloth or a mild cleaning agent. Regular vacuuming is enough to keep the sofa clean and hygienic.

Breathability

Thanks to our innovative impregnation / waterproofing / proofing, the natural breathability of the upholstered furniture is retained, so that moisture is released to the outside and a fresh, pleasant sitting feeling is created.

Health safety

Our impregnating agent is safe to use and has been tested and certified according to strict guidelines. It contains no harmful substances and is harmless in direct contact with food.

Environmental friendliness

Our water-based impregnation solution is mainly biodegradable and therefore leaves no harmful residues on the material.

Areas of application impregnation / waterproofing / proofing

In addition to the classic use on upholstered furniture such as sofas or armchairs made of various materials, including leather, corduroy, velvet and velour, our Nano-Care® textile impregnations are also useful in other areas; see the best-known alternative applications below.

Stone impregnations for indoor use

Car seats with fabric upholstery – benefit considerably from the protective effect of Nano-Care® impregnations. This extends the service life of the material; the impregnation protects against stains and makes cleaning easier, so that the seats always remain attractive and look as good as new and increase the resale value.

Carpets and rugs – The impregnation / waterproofing / proofing repels dirt and prevents discoloration, keeping the colors vibrant and the carpet looking like new for longer.

Garden upholstery – Even outdoors, Nano-Care® is a reliable choice for protecting upholstered furniture. The impregnation protects against weather influences such as rain and other unwanted deposits and keeps the upholstery free from dirt and discoloration. This not only keeps them clean, but also comfortable, even in harsh weather conditions.

Is Nano-Care® nano-impregnation / nano-waterproofing suitable for me?

To decide whether the application of Nano-Care® nano-impregnation / nano-waterproofing / fabric proofing on textile furniture such as sofas is sensible and effective, it is important to check whether the textile is sufficiently absorbent. The material must absorb the impregnation liquid in order to achieve an optimum effect on the material surface. Test whether it makes sense to apply an impregnation / waterproofing / proofing to your textile using the so-called drop test: 1. drip some water onto the fabric or leather that you want to seal.

  1. Pay attention to whether the fabric absorbs the water or whether it remains on the surface.
  2. If the water does not penetrate immediately, you can carefully help with a sponge, cloth or brush by applying light pressure.

If water penetrates the material, protective nano-impregnation / nano-waterproofing® is recommended.

Step-by-step instructions for impregnating your sofa

Step 1 - Preparing the textile material

Before you start impregnating, you should clean your sofa thoroughly: Remove all dust, crumbs and coarse dirt with a vacuum cleaner. For stubborn stains, use a suitable cleaning agent, but without aggressive chemicals so as not to damage the material or change the color of the textile.

After cleaning is complete, allow the sofa to dry completely, as moisture can impair the effectiveness of the impregnation. To shorten the drying time, it is advisable to ventilate the room well during this time.

Step 2 - Applying the impregnation / waterproofing / proofing

Before applying the impregnating agent, test it on a small, inconspicuous area, for example on the underside of the sofa, to ensure that it does not cause any discoloration or undesirable reactions.

Then hold the spray bottle at a distance of about 20 cm from the fabric and spray the product evenly and completely. You can usually treat an area of up to 10 m² with one liter of Nano-Care® impregnation solution; the exact amount depends on the absorbency of the material.

Make sure that the fabric is completely wetted to ensure long-lasting protection. Then allow the sofa to dry completely in accordance with the product data sheet.

This usually takes about 24 hours, during which time you should not use the sofa and protect it from moisture.

Step 3 - Regular care and cleaning

To prolong the life of the impregnation, you should vacuum your sofa regularly to remove dust and dirt. If stains occur, it is important to treat them as quickly as possible; as a rule, they can be rinsed out of the material with warm water due to the effect of the impregnation.

While the effect of Nano-Care® impregnation lasts significantly longer in areas without abrasion, heavily used areas should be resealed occasionally. We recommend repeating the impregnation every 3 to 5 years, depending on the use and wear of the sofa. If you notice that the fabric is absorbing water again, simply spray these areas again to maintain the protection.

Careful preparation and regular maintenance guarantee that your sofa remains in optimum condition and will give you pleasure for a long time.

Can I impregnate my sofa myself or should I hire a professional?

You can easily impregnate a sofa yourself as long as you follow the correct product instructions. Modern impregnating agents, such as those from Nano-Care®, are designed to be user-friendly and enable even non-professionals to effectively protect their upholstered furniture.

Please ensure that you follow the instructions in the product data sheet and apply the product correctly in accordance with the instructions above in order to achieve optimum results.
