How the sealing of glass works
Our nano-sealing is based on the tried-and-tested model of applying a water- and dirt-repellent protective layer, which also has oil-repellent properties if required. This creates a long-lasting non-stick effect against dirt, limescale or even
soap deposits.
The applied protective layer consists of fine nanostructures that additionally smooth the surface by closing pores and thus create a natural non-stick effect that not only makes cleaning easier, but is also durable.

How is a glass sealant / glass sealing applied?
In order to achieve the optimum result when nano-sealing / nano-sealanting glass, the right preparation of the material and careful application and curing of the sealant are crucial. The following is the application process for glass sealant / glass sealing in four simple steps.
Thorough cleaning
Before applying the sealant, the glass surface must be thoroughly cleaned
of all impurities. The sealant can work best on the material when the surface is completely dry and free of any residue. It is also important to use a clean, ideally new, cleaning cloth when cleaning.
Application of the sealant
Depending on the manufacturer’s recommendations,
the sealing product is usually applied using a clean cloth or other special applicators. It is important to apply the sealant evenly and completely to the glass surface to be treated in order to achieve an overall satisfactory result.
Polishing
Immediately after application, any excess sealant residue can be wiped off with a
clean cloth. The final result should then be achieved by thoroughly polishing the surface.
Allow to harden
Also depending on the manufacturer’s instructions, certain
sealants must be protected from liquids for some time after polishing to allow them to cure completely.

How long does a glass sealant / glass sealing last?
As the durability of glass sealants depends on external influences such as abrasion during regular cleaning or the weather, it is almost impossible to make a general statement about the shelf life.
Compared to other manufacturers of nano-sealing / nano-sealant products, our Nano-Care products are significantly more durable, which is why a durability of between 3 and 5 years can be assumed with an average cleaning frequency.
The sealant can be refreshed at any time if the non-stick effect diminishes or cleaning is no longer as easy as it was shortly after sealing.
