Nano-Care products
Nano-sealing for your car
There are many reasons to opt for high-quality surface sealing of your car with Nano-Care®. In addition to the directly visible, visual enhancement of your vehicle, nano-sealing also serve as additional and effective protective measures for your new or used car.
As a specialist with over 20 years of experience in sealing all types of materials, we will be happy to advise you on our wide range of surface sealing products.
More shine for car paintwork on new and used cars
Your vehicle is exposed to a huge amount of external influences in daily use, which can lead to coarse soiling and micro-scratches on the bodywork, whether it’s the weather, excessive cleaning with aggressive cleaning agents or the usual visits to the car wash – just as we protect human skin from UV rays with sunscreen, the outer skin of your vehicle also needs an additional protective film to slow down the natural ageing process of the paintwork and thus create a long-lasting “new car shine”. Nano-sealing from Nano-Care® not only protects your new car, but can also modify surfaces that have already been damaged by minor scratches so that damaged bodywork shines in a completely new light.
Reasons for professional nano-sealing on cars
As experts in nano-sealing for all types of vehicles, we have developed an extensive product portfolio over the course of our company history that offers sealing solutions for all relevant parts of your vehicle. However, the tried-and-tested basic principle of our nano sealing is identical for all applications: a transparent and resistant protective layer is applied to all those components of your car that lose their color intensity over time due to external influences and the natural aging process of the materials and would be easily damaged without treatment. In addition, the protective film applied smoothes the material in question, making it harder for dirt such as unwanted liquids, insects and dust particles to adhere to it and making regular cleaning noticeably easier.
You can also save on the cost of special cleaning agents and the water required for cleaning and protect our environment by not using aggressive chemicals.
To summarize: More protection – more shine – more cleanliness and that for the majority of materials in your vehicle.
How exactly does the so-called lotus effect of nano-sealing work?
One of the main effects of our unique nano-coatings is the creation of the so-called lotus effect. The name lotus effect comes from the lotus flower of the same name, whose surface allows dirt and liquids to roll off almost completely thanks to its special structure.
By sealing tiny pores – so-called nanopores – a special surface is created that prevents liquids and dirt from sticking to it. The applied protective layer lines the inside of these pores, creating a virtually flawless seal.
How does a nano-sealing of car paint work?
In order to achieve optimum results with our nano-sealing and benefit from a long-lasting effect, professional surface sealing of this type should be carried out by experienced experts. Thoroughness and the use of high-quality accompanying products are particularly important when preparing the materials to be sealed.
Regardless of which part of the car is to be treated, professional nano-sealing is carried out in the following steps:
– Preparation by removal or covering
– Thorough preparation by multi-stage cleaning
– Demand-oriented polishing
– Full-surface application of the nano-sealing
– Curing of the treated surface
– Quality control and subsequent installation
Automotive applications of nano-sealing
Depending on the base material, we offer sealing solutions for almost all of your car’s components. Here is an overview of the various areas of application, perfectly matched to the different requirements of the respective car component:
|
Rims |
Car rims, as car parts that are close to the road and fitted with brakes, are exposed to particular dirt and weather conditions. Our nano-sealing / nano-sealant for car rims therefore guarantees protection against (road) dirt as well as brake oil and abrasion, which means that you can save yourself environmentally harmful and aggressive cleaning solutions and benefit from the long-lasting cleanliness and shine of your car rims. When sealing rims, they must first be removed from the vehicle. This is the only way to apply a full sealant to the entire rim to ensure complete protection. If you have fitted an additional anti-theft device to your rims, you will need the key for this. |

Glass and headlights |
All glass car parts, including the various windshield sections, but also headlights and brake lights, lose their shine over time and micro-scratches also change the way light is transmitted, which ages your car quickly. Our nano-sealing / nano-sealant helps in particular to restore glass surfaces to a highly polished look and thus restore the feeling of newness to these parts. Application directly to the windshield is also particularly recommended, as insects and dirt adhere less easily, guaranteeing a clear view and easier cleaning. The nano-sealing is applied after processing with various sandpaper thicknesses and deep mechanical cleaning with a special paste designed for this purpose. The entire sealing process takes around one hour per headlight. |

Plastic parts |
It is not only worth using our nano-sealants on the exterior parts of your car – plastic parts in the interior of your vehicle can also be treated with special surface sealants to protect the plastics in the long term and prepare them for permanently easier cleaning. Our nano-sealing for plastic parts are used in all types of interior trim, but also on the entire dashboard and protective strips, giving the interior of your vehicle a long-lasting new car look. Applying the surface sealant to plastic parts is straightforward. Depending on the size and installation type of the respective module, it is dismantled and thoroughly prepared. As soon as the full sealing has been carried out and the protective layer of the nano-sealing has dried, the corresponding part is reinstalled in the car. |

Upholstery materials |
In addition to metal, plastic and glass parts, textiles such as car seats, armrests and headrests are also subject to natural abrasion and soiling due to regular use. We also offer special nano-sealing / nano-sealants for the upholstery materials in your car. After treatment with these coatings designed for textiles, the upholstery materials, like all other coated car parts, become visibly more resistant to soiling, e.g. from liquids such as drinks or oil.Identical to the other car parts, the upholstery materials are cleaned thoroughly before the nano-sealing is applied, then the sealing layer is applied using our surface sprays and the respective upholstery part is reinstalled in the vehicle after it has taken effect. |

Lacquer |
Overall, the painted body of a vehicle is the largest component of a car. This exterior surface as a whole is constantly exposed to external conditions such as UV radiation, dirt and the resulting micro-scratches. This makes it all the more important to protect and maintain this important surface with specially designed ceramic coatings / ceramic sealants. The applied surface sealants offer universal corrosion protection by significantly increasing the degree of hardness of your bodywork. The additional UV protection also helps to ensure that the car loses its shine much less quickly. |

Do I have to polish the vehicle before sealing?
Even though many providers in the vehicle preparation sector often recommend polishing exclusively or in addition to nano-sealing, we strongly recommend taking into account that
- polishing thins the paint layer and makes it more susceptible to damage
- the dull paint layer is removed by polishing, but no sealant is applied
This is why polishes should never be seen as an alternative to professional nano sealing and should only be used if your paintwork shows deeper scratches.
Do-it-yourself nano-sealing for cars
Even though the actual application of our nano-sealing is extremely simple, we advise against laymen carrying out this type of surface sealing themselves due to the thorough preparation work required and the use of professional equipment and the right setting.
Although there are do-it-yourself kits of this type available for purchase, as manufacturers and experts in the field of nano-sealing, we recommend visiting an experienced and specialized workshop in order to achieve a maximum satisfactory result through a professional application.
How much does a nano-sealing cost and how long does it last?
The cost of a nano-sealing depends on the quantity or size of the areas to be sealed and also includes the necessary preparatory work, such as dismantling and cleaning. For a nano-sealing carried out by a professional and using the highest quality products, you should expect to pay between 600 and 1,200 euros.
Depending on external influences, e.g. how often a car wash is visited or whether your car is free-standing, covered or in a garage, the protection of surfaces by nano-sealing lasts up to 5 years on average.
Guarantee for the durability of a nano-sealing on the car
Although the application of nano-sealing is still a relatively new method of vehicle preparation, a large number of providers advertise with long-term warranty promises, often between 5 and even 10 years. In general, however, we recommend relying on providers who include repeated refreshing of the sealant in the total price. This is the safest way to ensure long-term and optimum protection of the parts to be sealed.
What is the difference between wax sealing and nano-sealing?
Wax sealants and high-quality nano-sealing / nano-sealants differ significantly in terms of effect and durability. By applying wax or carnauba, small improvements can be made to the protection against environmental influences and the shine of the treated surface. The application is less time-consuming and can also be carried out by non-professionals. However, the effect usually lasts for a short time, up to a maximum of 10 car washes.
In comparison, the nano-sealing offers long-lasting protection and a deep shine thanks to the professional and comprehensive ceramic sealing process. The results also withstand regular car cleaning and maintenance is noticeably simplified thanks to the additional beading effect.
What is the difference between nano-sealing and nano-coating?
The difference between nano-sealing and coating lies in the thickness of the protective layer applied and also differs in the areas of application.
With nano-sealing, a sealing layer of 100 and 600 nanometers is usually applied to the material to be sealed. Even if the applied coating completely seals the surface of the material, the thin layer allows the object to breathe, which is why nano-sealing are ideal for materials such as stainless steel, glass and paintwork, especially in the automotive industry.
The nano-coating, on the other hand, has an average coating thickness of 0.1 mm upwards, which is significantly thicker than a nano-sealing , which is why it is primarily used for full body paintwork or concrete coating.
