How sealing the shower works

The tried and tested basic principle of nano-sealing is to apply an ultra-thin and transparent protective layer to the surface to be treated. The sealant optimizes the surface structure, preventing moisture residues from gaining a foothold.

The sealed pores also prevent the liquid from penetrating the material and causing unsightly deposits or discoloration. A long-lasting effect that also improves the general hygiene of your bathroom!

The advantages of nano sealing in the shower

If you compare unsealed showers with nano-sealed showers, there are significant advantages:

Longer material durability – thanks to the additional transparent protective film on the sealed surface.
Inhibition of mold growth – due to the beading effect of the sealed surface, which means that liquids that promote the formation of mold hardly adhere to the materials.
Faster drying – as the applied protective layer has an additional water-repellent effect.

Areas of application for our nano-sealing / nano-sealant

There are various recommended areas of application for our sealing solutions in the bathroom and sanitary areas. Wherever hygiene needs to be optimized, cleaning simplified and materials protected, we recommend using our nano-sealing / nano-sealants developed for wet rooms.

Showers and bathtubs	One of the most common areas of application in bathroom sealing, as these are most exposed to water and other liquids during use. The sealant not only inhibits unwanted mold growth, discoloration or deposits; it also helps to make the shower or bathtub easy to clean and quicker to dry.
Tiles and joints	Usually used as wall cladding in bathrooms, they provide a large surface for unwanted deposits and the build-up of liquids, for example from steam rising when showering. Extensive sealing of tiles and joints therefore helps the bathroom as a whole to be more hygienic and provides long-term protection against unsightly residues or limescale deposits.
Washbasin	Other bathroom areas, such as washbasins, also come into contact with various liquids and products through daily use. The sealant helps to make these surfaces easier to clean and thus benefit from a long-lasting clean bathroom.

Difference: factory-coated shower glass and subsequently applied nano-sealing / nano-sealant

Even if almost all commercially available shower glass is offered with a first coating by the manufacturer, the biggest disadvantage is that this initial factory coating often wears off quickly and the shower becomes susceptible to dirt and unwanted deposits after a short time. If you want to benefit from the advantages of a long-lasting seal, we recommend professional nano-coating, either directly during installation or retrospectively.
