Stone sealing through nanotechnology

There are many reasons to opt for professional surface sealing of all types of stone surfaces with Nano-Care®. Nowadays, stone is often used in construction and decoration and has become an indispensable design element for high-quality interior and exterior constructions. This makes it all the more important to protect stone surfaces from external influences such as liquids and other soiling.

Benefit now from our innovative stone sealing solutions. As a specialist with many years of experience in surface finishing of all kinds, we would be delighted to present our wide range of products to you.

How the sealing of stone works

Our tried and tested stone sealants are based on the principle of providing effective protection for porous stone surfaces by applying a supplementary surface layer.

This protective layer not only prevents the penetration of liquids and dirt, but is also UV-protected and therefore highly resistant.

In addition, by lining the pores of the uneven stone surface, unwanted deposits can be prevented in the long term, preserving the appearance of the material for many years.

To summarize: More protection, more durability, more purity – for almost all stone surfaces

Our product: Nano-Care® stone sealing

Our product tailored to stone surfaces, the so-called Nano-Care® stone protector, is particularly impressive due to its highly water-repellent properties. Universally applicable for almost all mineral surfaces, it protects natural stone, granite, concrete, paving stones and roof tiles.

This enables us to guarantee long-lasting protection for your stone surfaces, both indoors and outdoors.

The advantages of stone sealing

To give you a better overview of the great benefits of our stone sealers, it is worth comparing them with unsealed stone material. The nano-sealed surfaces offer the following advantages:

  • High material protection – thanks to the strong water and dirt repellency,
  • Easy to clean – by lining the pores of the surface, there is less adhesion for deposits of liquids and dirt particles, but also for moss and fungi,
  • Weather resistance – thanks to the temperature and frost-resistant protective layer,
  • Environmentally friendly – due to the absence of aggressive chemicals – solvent-free and odorless,
  • High resistance – even when cleaned with high-pressure cleaners,
  • Transparent look – and optics retention thanks to the invisible layer of around 100 to 150 nm.

Step-by-step guide: How to apply stone sealants correctly

To achieve the optimum effect of our nano-sealing / nano-sealant for stone surfaces, it is particularly important to prepare the material thoroughly for sealing. The stone material can then be sealed in five simple steps.

  • Material preparation – Depending on where the stone sealer is to be applied, the material to be treated should either be exposed by removal or the surrounding surfaces that are not to come into contact with the sealer should be masked off in advance so that only the desired stone surface is actually treated with the sealer.
  • Extensive cleaning – Before applying the sealer, it is particularly important to clean the surface to be treated thoroughly and in accordance with the material to ensure optimum adhesion for the protective layer to be applied. The material should also be given sufficient time to dry after wet cleaning before the sealant is applied.
  • Application of the sealer – Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and explanations. Take particular care to apply the sealer evenly over the entire surface using a brush, roller or spray attachment to achieve the best possible result.
  • Allow to take effect – Depending on the sealant applied, it requires a certain amount of time to penetrate the surface and harden. Be sure to observe the specified drying time in order to achieve the maximum effect of the surface finish.
  • Optimization and maintenance – As the stone surfaces should benefit from the sealant in the long term, it is advisable to check the surface after it has dried out. If there are areas that have not been fully treated, they can be subsequently sealed. If you notice that the properties of the sealers are deteriorating, it is also possible and advisable to refresh the sealers at any time as required.

Areas of application for our stone sealant

There are numerous areas of application for Nano-Care® stone sealants, both indoors and outdoors, including for

  • Building materials, including granite stone, natural stone, sandstone, concrete, bricks, cement, terracotta and bricks;
  • Building elements, including house walls, paving stones, roof tiles, wall cladding, exterior plaster, stone panels, facades and cobblestones;
  • Building structures, including terrace stones, buildings, bridges, stairs, retaining walls and underpasses;
  • Art and decoration, including statues and fountains.

How long does stone impregnation last?

It is not possible to make a general statement about the durability of stone impregnation, as the service life of stone impregnation depends on various external influences as well as the respective manufacturer. For example, a surface that is subject to little wear, such as wall cladding, has a significantly longer durability than an application on cobblestones.

Generally speaking, however, you can expect a high-quality stone impregnation from a specialist to last for several years.

It is particularly important to follow the recommended care of the impregnated surface and to carry out refreshments if necessary in order to benefit from the high value of these sealants in the long term.
